Should I Use A Single Criteria Framework For Multiple Portfolios?

There are pros and cons of having a model in which you have common criteria across all of the portfolios versus criteria that are specific to different portfolios.  There is not a best or preferred method, however the main determination of common or different criteria needs to match how the portfolio will be analyzed in whole or within sub portfolios.
