1.40 Release Notes (July 16, 2026)

Release Date: July 16, 2026

Features Added

Custom Charts

Build and configure custom charts directly within your portfolio to visualize data in the ways that matter most to your organization.

  • Choose from multiple chart types and configure colors and groupings to match your analysis needs
  • Group chart data by any field and apply custom color schemes for clear, at-a-glance insights
  • Existing My Plans charts are automatically converted to the new custom chart format for additional customization

Map Projects

Map Projects gives teams the ability to add geographic location data to their projects and visualize them on an interactive map, making it easier to understand where investments are distributed and support location-aware decision making.

  • Map Projects can be enabled from the Add-Ons tab in Portfolio Settings. Once enabled, a Location column is visible in the Projects table for all projects.
  • Add a location to any project by entering an address, city/state, lat/long coordinates, or by uploading a shapefile (polygon or linestring)
  • All project locations are displayed together on a map within My Plans. Expand the map for a larger view and use Zoom to Fit to see all locations at once.
  • Color-code locations by project status or any category field to quickly analyze patterns across your portfolio
  • Locations can be represented as shapes, including polygons and linestrings, in addition to single points. Shapes render across Project Details, My Plans, and the Compare view.
  • Portfolio Owners control who can view and edit location data through the standard permissions settings for Participants and Contributors

Saved Views

The Projects page now supports Saved Views, giving every user the ability to save their preferred filters and column configurations and switch between them instantly.

  • Create and name personal views that capture your current filter selections and column layout that are unique to you.
  • Switch between saved views from the new Views dropdown in the Projects Filter Ribbon. Once you make a change to a view, you can Save, Save As, or Revert the change
  • Column order is now part of a view. All roles can reorder columns by dragging columns on the Projects page or from within Column Settings. The order you set can be saved with your view.
  • Portfolio Owners can set a shared Default View that all users land on when they first open the Projects page. Changes Owners save to the default view are reflected for everyone.
  • The default view's column order carries through to related areas including Budgets, Spend Plan, Project Details, Filter Panel, and Column Settings.

Prioritization Module Enhancements

  • Portfolio score fields now update automatically when Value Score Framework fields change within a prioritization, keeping your portfolio data in sync without manual intervention.
  • Multiple email addresses can now be pasted directly into the Survey Recipients field, making it faster to add large groups of participants at once.

Radio Button Display for Category Fields

Category fields can now be configured to display as radio buttons, providing a cleaner, single-select experience in project forms.

Bugs Fixed

  • Search is now available in the Project and Field dropdowns in the Prioritization Module Detailed view.
  • Votes in Detailed Comparison results now rearrange only after clicking Done, preventing premature reordering.
  • Cost fields now correctly identify and display as the Cost field type rather than Text.
  • Reassigning a cost while another user has the table open no longer results in both the old and new cost being assigned to the project.
  • The zoom level on the location map is now saved per project rather than shared across all projects.
  • New projects now appear correctly in the Prioritization Module without requiring a refresh.
  • Changing a weight set in the Prioritization Module no longer produces an error.
  • Framework score fields now display in the portfolio immediately after changes are made in the prioritization, with no page refresh required.
  • The Add button remains visible in surveys when a large number of users have been added.
  • Recommendation panel wording has been updated for accuracy and clarity.
  • Bulk data-change operations in Data Studio now perform at expected speeds, resolving a regression introduced in the May 16 build.
  • Survey project categorization is now correctly preserved when duplicating a portfolio.
  • Total Planned and Total Obligated now update immediately when cleared, without requiring a page refresh.
  • Prioritization and Group Rating Scores now appear correctly in exports.
  • Voters and Raters can now see their assigned tasks even when they are not members of the portfolio.
  • Prioritization updates are now visible immediately without requiring a page refresh.
  • The My Plans count-by-status chart now updates correctly for the Idea status.
  • Filtering in Budgets works correctly after using Select All or Unselect All.
  • Prioritizations can now be added to portfolios that are part of a combined portfolio.
  • Date fields from Connected Portfolios are now sent and received correctly.
  • Restoring a snapshot for a portfolio now completes successfully.
  • Adding a comment no longer produces an error for users with view-category permissions and empty field IDs.
  • Users can now be added to a tenant even when the tenant's linked domain is empty.
  • Portfolio Dimension name headers in the Manage Framework view are now correctly positioned.
  • Custom workflow names beginning with a vowel now correctly use "an" instead of "a" throughout the interface.
  • Hiding a column in a chart now persists after refreshing the page.
